Why should I attend LesGaiCineMad SFM?

If you are a director or a producer, from everywhere in the world, with or without a film in the official programme of LesGaiCineMad Film Festival 2009, you should be part of SFM because you will find a place of training, networking and promotion of your work.  Because you will meet relevant professionals of International LGBT and Independent Cinema and you could share experiences and projects with your colleagues Filmmakers.  You can also be part of a pioneer offer in production and distribution training for free joining our Training Programme.

Accreditation

To be able to be part of LesGaiCineMad SFM you should be accredited.  An accreditation identifies you as an industry member and film professional visitor. It's free of charge, personalized and non-transferable.

If you have a film in LesGaiCineMad Film Festival 2009 Official Selection your Accreditation Category will be “Filmmaker”. If your film is not part of the Official Selection but it’s selected to be part of the LesGaiCineMad SFM (Spanish Film Market) your Category will be “Filmmaker SFM”.  If you don’t have a film in this year selection you can also be accredited as “Filmmaker Friend”.

* When the official programme is ready we will send the Bookings Policy to the selected films. The bookings will be made FIFO (first in, first out) until we complete the hotel availability.

Your Film at SFM

The SFM Films is a catalogue that contains a selection of LGBT Films that are chosen from the best films that are sent to LesGaiCineMad Film Festival.  There is not entry fee and to send it you must follow the regulations from the Programming Department.  You can check that info at www.lesgaicinemad.com

If your movie has not been produced in Spain or Latin America and it’s not Spanish Speaking, the only possibility to participate in the SFM is to be selected in LesGaiCineMad Film Festival Official Selection.  In this case the submission is not all year round, it’s held between February and July every year.

If your movie has been produced in Spain or Latin America and it’s Spanish Speaking (also euskera, catalan, etc) LesGaiCineMad will receive it all year round but if you send it after August 1st LesGaiCineMad cannot promise to include it in the official selection for the SFM of that current year although It’ll be considered for the next Edition of the SFM or, if the producer ask it, its possible exhibition in Latin America before SFM.

You don’t have to do anything else to participate in the selection process for SFM.  If your movie is selected we will contact you.

 

FAQs

Can I Pitch my Project to producers or distributors in the Market?
    -SFM will not organize any special session of Pitching, however all the producers and distributors that attend the SFM market will be accredited so you can find them and present them your Project if they are interested.

Can I attend the Training Programme seminars? How much is it? What is the language of the conference?
    -You can find this info at TRAINING/FORMACION in the upper bar of this website.

I have the experience and I would like to conduct a seminar in The Training Programme ¿Can I do that?

Si eres director o productor, de cualquier parte del mundo, con o sin película en competencia en Festival LesGaiCineMad 2009, debes participar de LesGaiCineMad SFM porque encontrarás un espacio de formación, comunicación, networking y promoción de tu trabajo hacia el mundo. Porque podrás encontrarte con los referentes de la industria LGTB y el cine independiente internacional y podrás compartir experiencias y proyectos con tus colegas cineastas.
Podrás apuntarte a un oferta pionera de formación en producción y distribución de primer nivel totalmente gratuita gracias a nuestro Training Programme.

Acreditación

Para poder formar parte de LesGaiCineMad SFM debes acreditarte. La acreditación te identifica como miembro de la industria y profesional del cine visitante. Es gratuita, personalizada e intransferible.

Si tienes una película en la Selección Oficial del Festival LesGaiCineMad 2009 tu categoría de acreditación será “Cineasta”.  Si tu película no es parte de la Selección Oficial pero está seleccionada para formar parte de LesGaiCineMad SFM (Mercado de Películas) tu categoría será “Cineasta SFM”.  Si no tienes un película en la selección de este año también puedes acreditarte como “Cineasta Amigo”.

Tú Película en el SFM

El SFM está formado por una selección de películas LGBT que se realiza escogiendo los mejores títulos recibidos por el Festival.  No hay cuota de inscripción y el envío de las mismas debes seguir los procedimientos que marca el Departamento de Programación y que puedes consultar en la Web oficial del festival www.lesgaicinemad.com

Si tu película está producida en Hispanoamérica y hablada en español (incluya euskera, catalán, etc.) LesGaiCineMad la recibirá durante todo el año como parte de su convocatoria continua de contenidos LGBT hispanoamericanos pero, si es enviada después del 1ro de Agosto, no se compromete a incluirlos en el programa del SFM de ese año quedando pendiente para la edición siguiente o, según acuerdo con el productor y si este lo solicita, su posible difusión en Latinoamérica previa al SFM.

En el caso de películas extranjeras y habladas en otros idiomas la única posibilidad de participar en el SFM es que sea escogida en la Selección Oficial del Festival.  En este caso la convocatoria no es continúa y solo se realiza en las fechas marcadas en la convocatoria que realiza LesGaiCineMad todos los años (de Febrero a Julio)

No debes realizar ningún otro procedimiento adicional para participar en la pre-selección del SFM.  Si tu película es seleccionada nosotros nos contactaremos contigo.

Preguntas Frecuentes:

¿Puedo presentar mi guión a productores o distribuidores para involucrarlos en mi proyecto?
    -El SFM no organizará ninguna sesión especial para que puedan hacer Pitching sin embargo todos los productores y distribuidores que participen del mercado serán acreditados por lo que podrán encontrarlos y presentarles sus ideas si ellos están interesados.

¿Puedo asistir a los seminarios del Training Programme? ¿Cuánto cuesta? ¿En que idioma se dicta?

Tengo la experiencia y me gustaría dictar un seminario en el Training Programme. ¿Puedo hacerlo?
