What is your film about?
The movie is about identity (trying to escape of what you are), frustration and the survival instinct (the desire to be happy).

How is it doing in the festival circuit? Has it received any award? Any other merit?
The short one is having success especially in Latin-American festivals and has obtained the first award in the Binational Festival of Independent Cinema (Texas - Mexico).

Who are the members of the cast and how was your relationship with them?
The casting belongs to Luis Gimeno and my relation with the three principal actors (José Sospedra, Jaime Menendez, Maria Cotiello) has been perfect. Since this short is almost without dialogues, I focused the work on their glances. My idea was to join two immutable characters opposite to a split one. The protagonist (Sospedra) understood all that was happening to his character (anxiety, desire, panic, frustration) and she was very brave for accepting that role.

How was the production process?
It is a short made at the end of the school of cinema career, where I studied. I contacted with the producer (Alfombra Roja) there. They believed in the project and in the people which are going to work with me in the next short film as well.

Are you coming to LesGaiCineMad in November to present your film?
Yes, of course.

¿De qué trata tu película?
La película trata sobre la identidad (intentar escapar de lo que eres), la frustración y el instinto de supervivencia (el deseo de ser feliz) .

¿Cómo está funcionando en festivales? ¿Ha recibido algún premio? ¿Algún
otro mérito destacable?
El corto está funcionando bien sobre todo en festivales latinoamericanos y ha conseguido el primer premio en el festival binacional de cine independiente( Texas- Mexico).


¿Quiénes son los actores y qué tal fue tu relación con ellos durante la
preparación y rodaje de la película?
El casting es de Luis Gimeno y mi relación con los tres actores principales (José Sospedra, Jaime Menendez, María Cotiello) fue perfecta. Como es un corto sin apenas diálogos, enfoque el trabajo en sus miradas. Mi idea era juntar a dos personajes inmutables frente a uno escindido. El protagonista ( Sospedra) comprendió todo lo que le pasaba a su personaje (angustia, deseo, pánico, frustración) y fue muy valiente al aceptar el papel.

¿Cómo fue el proceso de producción?
Es un corto de fin de carrera de la escuela de cine donde estudie. Allí contacte con la productora (Alfombra Roja) que creyeron en el proyecto y con los que voy a trabajar en mi siguiente corto.

¿Vienes a LesGaiCineMad en Noviembre para presentarla?
Allí estaré.
