What is your movie about?

Get Happy is a coming of age musical extravaganza about my childhood growing up and doing drag as Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli with the full acceptance and support of my mother and grandmother
It includes original footage of me as a child doing the impersonations and has a
universal message for all to follow their dream and do what makes them happy!!

How is it doing in the festival circuit? Has it received any award? Any
other merit?
Get Happy has received 7 awards so far and is always an audience favorite.
It is currently being developed into a narrative feature and television series...
We'll see which one hits first.

Who are the members of the cast and how was your relationship with them? Everyone interviewed are friends and family... It is great joy to share the success of the film with them. Someone once said that you are the sum of everyone you have known. If that is the case then I am indeed lucky!!

How was the production process?
Get Happy started as a 40th birthday video and over a 4 year period became what it is today. I went to pain taking lengths to keep the original feeling of joy that people got from the original birthday video

Are you coming to LesGaiCineMad in November to present your film?
I am making every effort to be there!!

¿De qué trata tu película?
Get Happy es sobre la llegada de una epoca musicales extravaganza, sobre mi niñez, el crecer y vestirme de Barbra Streisan, Judy garland, Liza Minelly con una gran aceptacion y apoyo de parte de mi Madre y Abuela. Incluye secuencias de video originales de mi niñez haciendo imitaciones y tiene un mensaje universal para todos, el seguir tus sueños y hacer lo que les hace feliz!!.

¿Cómo está funcionando en festivales? ¿Ha recibido algún premio? ¿Algúnotro mérito destacable?
Get Happy ha recibido 7 premios hasta ahora y siempre ha sido la favorita del público.
Se esta desarrollada ahora mismo a una forma Narrativa y en serie de television.. veremos cual pega primero.

¿Quiénes son los actores y qué tal fue tu relación con ellos durante la preparación y rodaje de la película?
Todos! Los que son entrevistados son amigos y familiares.. es una gran alegreia el compratir el exito de la pelicula con ellos. Una vez alguien me dijo que Uno es la suma de todos los que te conocen. Si ese es el caso entonces si que tengo suerte!!

¿Cómo fue el proceso de producción?
Get Happy comenzo como un video de mi 40 cumpleaños y durante un periodo de unos 4 años se convirtio es lo que es ahora. Paso por periodos meticulosos para poder mantener el sentido de alegria original que la gente sintió con el video original del video del cumpleaños.

¿Vienes a LesGaiCineMad en Noviembre para presentarla?
Estoy haciendo todo lo posible para estar ahi.
