What is your film about?
“See you back again” tells a fictional story that denounces a real problem in our society: the violence against women and the lack of equal opportunities for them. On the other hand it reveals the problems that two girls experience while carrying on with their love story.

How is it doing in the festival circuit? Has it received any award? Any other merit?
Actually it is doing better than we thought. The film has been made almost without money and that makes it difficult to compete in festivals. However, the artistic team has succeeded to play the story with strength. The film has been selected in different local film festivals and others abroad like the festivals of Cuba and Peru. It has received the Best Andalusian Short Movie Award at the 4th Alandalesgai 08 Film Festival, the Silver Pecca at the 2nd LG Film Festival 2008 of Seville, the second Best Short Movie Award at the Sun-East Coast Film Festival and recently it has received the Best Short Movie Award at the International Marbella Film Festival, an international festival organized by British citizens in Marbella. Also different city councils have suggested to show the film and organized a discussion on the subject between the audience and our film team. So in November we will be at the town of Velez-Malaga. The same request has also been made by high schools and some associations.
RossMartin Films PC, made a gala to support equal opportunities for women and against violence against women, in Malaga. They showed the film “See you back again”, after some words of introduction made by the author Martín Crespo and other personalities such as local politicians, members of lesbian and gay associations and members of women associations.

Who are the members of the cast and how was your relationship with them?
I have to mention in the first place the work of Rosalinda Muñiz, because apart from being my partner she is my favorite actress. She always gets involved with her characters with excellent results, no matter what she plays. We can also find Virginia DeMorata, an actress from Malaga who plays the role of “Laura”, Jose Manuel Infante as Laura´s father, Luisa María Rodríguez as Laura´s mother and Juan Manuel Blanco as the police. Shooting with them was wonderful, with most of them I have already worked before. For this reason we got really involved with each other. Everybody loved the story and the actors perfectly understood their roles in making the process easier. I am very happy with the job made by the actors.

How was the production process?
Almost everything went fine. We just had some problems due to the fact that we didn´t have enough money for a project like this, but apart that everything was ok. Also, the city council of Fuente de Piedra, Malaga, got involved with the production and we could count on them at every moment.

Are you coming to LesGaiCineMad in November to present your film?
Of course, this is one of the best organized film festival we have ever seen and obviously a great opportunity to show “See you back again” and enjoy some days of good movies in Madrid.

¿De qué trata tu película?
Bueno, el guión de "Volver a verte" denuncia a través de una historia de ficción un hecho que, por desgracia está muy en la actualidad en nuestra sociedad actual. Por un lado toca el tema de la desigualdad de la mujer y la violencia de género y por otro lado se centra en los problemas que se enfrentan dos chicas para llevar su amor adelante.

¿Cómo está funcionando en festivales? ¿Ha recibido algún premio? ¿Algún
otro mérito destacable?
Pues está funcionando mucho mejor de lo esperado, ya que el cortometraje fue rodado casi sin presupuesto, por lo que le hace complicada la competición con otras películas. Aunque contó con un equipo artístico que consigue transmitir la historia con la fuerza necesaria. Así "Volver a verte" ha sido seleccionado en varios Festivales de Cine nacional e incluso ha sido seleccionado en Cuba y Perú. Ha obtenido el Premio al Mejor Cortometraje andaluz, en el IV Festival de Cine Alandalesgai 08, Pecca de Plata en el II Certamen de Cine de ambiente 2008 de Sevilla, II Premio al Mejor Cortometraje del Festival de Cine de la Costa del Sol-Oriental y hace poco ha recibido el Primer Premio al Mejor Cortometraje de Marbella International Film Festival, un festival de cine internacional de organización británica, celebrado en Marbella. También mencionar que algunos ayuntamientos nos lo han solicitado para proyectarlo y poder dar una rueda de debate entre el equipo y los asistentes, muchos de institutos y asociaciones, como es el caso del municipio de Vélez-Málaga, donde en el próximo mes de Noviembre tenemos una cita pendiente con ellos.
RossMartin Films PC, organizó una gala de solidaridad con la lucha contra la violencia de género y por la igualdad de la mujer, en donde se proyectó el cortometraje "Volver a verte" como tema central, tras haber ofrecido unas palabras a los asistentes el propio director/productor del cortometraje Martín Crespo, distintas autoridades malagueñas, representantes de asociaciones de colectivo gay y lésbico y de mujeres.

¿Quiénes son los actores y qué tal fue tu relación con ellos durante la
preparación y rodaje de la película?
Pues en primer lugar, destacar el trabajo de la protagonista Rosalinda Muñiz ya que, además de ser mi socia es mi actriz fetiche, por su estupenda implicación y su maravilloso resultado en cualquier papel al que se enfrente. Compartiendo pantalla con ésta podemos encontrar a Virginia DeMorata, actriz malagueña que daba vida al personaje de "Laura", a Jose Manuel Infante, que interpreta al padre de Laura, a Luisa Mª Rodríguez como madre, o a Juan Manuel Blanco como guardia civil. Durante el rodaje trabajar con ellos fue estupendo ya que con la mayoría de ellos ya había trabajado anteriormente por lo que, nos compenetramos muy bien. Todos acogieron con cariño la historia y entendieron a su personaje y al guión en sí a la primera, por lo que esto hizo simplificar mucho todo el proceso. En definitiva, quedé muy contento con el resultado de mis actores de Volver a verte.

¿Cómo fue el proceso de producción?
En general todo fue muy bien, solo contamos con algunos inconvenientes propios de no contar con un presupuesto necesario como para llevar a cabo un proyecto así, pero por lo demás todo fue genial y el Excmo. Ayuntamiento del municipio malagueño de Fuente de Piedra se volcó con la producción y tuvimos su apoyo en todo momento.

¿Vienes a LesGaiCineMad en Noviembre para presentarla?
Por supuesto, vemos que este Festival es uno de los festivales mejor organizado que hemos visto y sin duda es una magnífica oportunidad para presentar "Volver a verte" y poder compartir unos días de buen cine en Madrid.
