What is your film about?
Two women, Annu and Mickan, live as registered partners and want to
have a baby. A trip to India offers them a chance to make their dream come true.
It is a documentary film, a story about a lesbian family. Following their life for about one year.

How is it doing in the festival circuit? Has it received any award? Any other merit?
It has been in the festivals in Hungary, Geramny, Fance, Sapin, Italy, Swizerland, Denmark and Finland.
Mostly Gay and Lesbian festivals. And in TV in Finland. The film is actually made for the "heteroaudience", but I'm very happy that also gay people seems to like it. Some heteroaudience have been surprized how normal lesbian life is :)

Who are the members of the cast and how was your relationship with them?
I got the idea when friends of me startet to plan to have a baby. But for the film I found a Finish gay organisation called SETA. The relationship between us is special. Even friends are normally not participating in someone’s life like I did when we were filming. I say we, because the photograper is my husband - so in filmmaking we were two couples, "working" together. Also my good friend was shooting some parts in India, when she was visiting there.

How was the production process?
It took about 2 years. Some part of the film is shooted by the main characters Annu and Mickan themselves in 8mm.

Are you coming to LesGaiCineMad in November to present your film?
I dont think so.

¿De qué trata tu película?
De dos mujeres, Annu y Mickan que viven como pareja de hecho y quieren tener un bebé. Un viaje a India les ofrece la posibilidad de hacer realidad su sueño. Se trata de un documental, la historia de una familia de lesbianas. Es su vida a lo largo de un año.

¿Cómo está funcionando en el circuito de festivales? ¿Ha recibido algún premio? ¿Alguna otra mención?
Ha participado en festivales en Hungría, Alemania, Francia, España, Italia, Suiza, Dinamarca y Finlandia. La mayoría festivales de gays y lesbianas. También se ha emitido en la televisión finlandesa. La película está enfocada a un público heterosexual, pero estoy muy contenta porque al público homosexual le haya gustado. Muchos heterosexuales se han sorprendido por lo normal que es la vida de unas lesbianas 

¿Quién compone el reparto y cómo fue tu relación con ellos?
La idea surgió cuando unas amigas empezaron a pensar en tener un bebé. Pero para la película, encontré a las protagonistas a través de una organización gay finlandesa llamada SETA. Nuestra relación es especial. Incluso hay veces en que los amigos no llegan a estar tan involucrados en la vida de otro como yo lo estuve cuando rodamos esta película. Y hablo en plural porque el fotógrafo es mi marido. Así que, en el rodaje, fuimos dos parejas “trabajando” juntas. Además, una buena amiga también rodó partes en la India cuando estaba allí de viaje.

¿Cómo fue el proceso de producción?
Se prolongó unos 2 años. Algunas partes de la película están grabadas por las propias protagonistas, Annu y Mickan, en 8 mm.

¿Vas a venir a LesGaiCineMad en noviembre para presentar tu película?
No creo
