Lisa Thrasher at the SFM Training Programme! / Lisa Thrasher en el Programa de Entrenamiento del SFM!

Lisa Thrasher will conduct the Seminar “Festivals, Distributors, Sales Agents. How to distribute your film worldwide.” (3 rd Nov - 12.30-14 h – Inglés - C/Prado, 21 – Madrid) within of LesGaiCineMad SFM Training Programme that will be held form 2nd to 6th November 2009 as part of LesGaiCineMad -14th Madrid ’s International Lesbian, Gay & Transexual Film Festival organized by Fundación Triángulo.

Lisa is the President of Film Production & Distribution for POWER UP (Professional Organization of Women in Entertainment Reaching UP) based in Los Angeles – USA.

Some of the multi award-winning films that Lisa has produced for POWER UP are Itty Bitty Titty Committe, Billy's Dad is a Fudge-Packer (Sundance) and Little Black Boot (Sundance). Currently, she is in development on a number of television projects and feature films, including POWER UP’s THE LAND and the new BRUCH WITH BRIDGET television show airing on the Logo Network.

Prior to joining POWER UP, Lisa led International Anti-Piracy Litigation and Trademark Prosecution for 20th Century Fox Film Corporation. She also sat on the Motion Picture Association of America’s International Anti-Piracy Committee where she worked in conjunction with attorneys from Sony, Universal, MGM, Disney, Paramount and Warner Bros.

Lisa served as a Short Film Screener for the SUNDANCE Film Festival and has served as a Lecturer, Guest Producer or Juror at several Film Festivals all over the world. She also works as a Visiting Professor in a variety of film courses, such as “Producing Independent & Women’s Films” taught in Seoul, South Korea; “The Legal Aspects of Film Production” taught in both Cape Town & Johannesburg, South Africa; and “Producing Independent Film” taught in Buffalo, New York and Los Angeles.

LesGaiCineMad SFM Training Programme has no fee. It’s in English and to attend you should be accredited.

Lisa Thrasher será ponente en el Seminario “Festivales, Distribuidores, Agentes de Ventas. ¿Cómo distribuir tu película por el mundo?” (3 rd Nov - 12.30-14 h – English - C/Prado, 21 – Madrid) en el Programa de Entrenamiento de LesGaiCineMad SFM que se realizará del 2 al 6 de Noviembre de 2009 como parte del LesGaiCineMad – 14 Festival Internacional de Cine Lésbico, Gay y Transexual de Madrid organizado por Fundación Triángulo.

Lisa es la Presidenta de Producción y Distribución Cinematográfica de POWER UP (Organización Profesional de Mujeres en el Audiovisual) con sede en Los Angeles – USA.

Algunos de las películas multi premiadas que Lisa ha producido para POWER UP son Itty Bitty Titty Committe, Billy's Dad is a Fudge-Packer (Sundance) y Little Black Boot (Sundance). Actualmente, está desarrollando una serie de proyectos de Cine y TV que incluyen POWER UP’s THE LAND y el show de TV BRUCH WITH BRIDGET qué está en este momento en antena en MTV Logo Network.

Antes de POWER UP, Lisa condujo los litigios Anti-Piratería de 20th Century Fox Film Corporation. También participó en el Comité internacional Anti-Piratería de la Motion Picture Association of America donde trabajó conjuntamente con los abogados de Sony, Universal, MGM, Disney, Paramount y Warner Bros.

Lisa fue Curadora de Cortometrajes en el Festival SUNDANCE y ha sido Ponente, Productora Asociada y Jurado en varios Festivales de Cine alrededor del mundo. También participó como profesora visitante en una variedad de Cursos de Cine como “Producción de Cine Independiente y de Mujer” en Seoul, Corea del Sur; “Los Aspectos legales de la producción cinematográfica” en Cape Town & Johannesburg, Sudáfrica: y “Producción de Cine Independiente” en Búfalo, Nueva York y Los Ángeles.
